说到超市相信大家
第一反应就是”supermarket”
大多数英语国家也都这么说
但皮卡丘之前去美国进修很少听
身边的老美说supermarket这个词
他们称超市为grocery store
国人也形象统称为Big Box
比如Walmart(沃尔玛），Costco, Sam's Club
这些店的特点是规模大、种类多，从食物到生活用品，家居电器和甚至汽车配件等都可买到。一般分布在城市的边缘，交通方便，价格实惠。
比如说家里食物都吃光了，牙膏、厕纸等这些日用品也用完了，我们需要去超市买日用品和食物，可以说：I need to do grocery shopping.
购买食物和日用品统称：do grocery shopping.
Go shopping一般指去买衣服、鞋子等除食物和日用品之外的东西，去grocery store买回来的东西统称为groceries
